Abstract: |
An assessment of the former 18th abnd 19th century Hallenbeagle copper mine site at Scorrier near Redruth was undertaken in advance of a planning application to develop this site for light industrial use. As well as assessing the remains of the mine and its surviving engine houses, a 19th century sawmill and a 20th century cement works, the assessment also revealed evidence for an undocumented copper smelter. |
