Abstract The abstract describing the content of the publication or report Abstract:	A pilot programme of building conservation work and archaeological recording was undertaken on the post medieval buildings on Samson, Isles of Scilly. The work, which was a pilot and addressed the most urgent repair needs involved lichen assessments and a good level of community involvement as well as the archaeological recording. The project was a partnership between the isles of Scilly Wildlife Trust, Cornwall County Council's Historic Environment Service, English Heritage, Cardiff University, the isles of Scilly AONB and others.
