Abstract:		 The trial trenching identified elements of two regionally significant late Iron Age/Romano-British settlement sites within the development area. The remains were generally well preserved. The presence of deep deposits of riverine gravels and colluvium or alluvium silts in Area 2 and Area 3 may represent an ancient river channel contemporary with the archaeological features.
