Abstract: |
The watching brief monitored the excavation of 3 trenches and ground reduction across the entire site, in advance of the redevelopment of the site once occupied by St Joseph's Church. It revealed the geological sequence of the site to be clay overlain by Taplow Gravels and brickearth. Bioturbation and features from the use of the site as an orchard had heavily disturbed the brickearth. Topsoil finished the sequence. |
