Abstract:		 The results of an archaelogical watching brief undertaken during the ground reduction phase prior to constuction of a new hotel. Little evidence of any archaeological deposits was revealed, with the exception of an area to the north west of the site which consisted of a layer of garden soil previously dated to the 19th century.
