Abstract The abstract describing the content of the publication or report Abstract:	An archaeological watching brief during drainage repair work included monitoring the excavation of two trenches or access shafts as well as two headers excavated in an attempt to repair a collapsed main sewer running along Broad Sanctuary and Victoria Street. During the watching brief medieval walls presumably associated with the Chapter Clerks dwelling and the Bishop of London's Prison were recorded in Trench 1. Additional archaeological features including several pits dating to the medieval period and a construction cut likely associated with the abbey precinct wall were also identified and recorded during the excavation of the header. During the excavation of Trench 2 several post-medieval gravel road surfaces and a medieval paleochannel were recorded.
