Abstract:		 An archaeological watching brief was carried out at Tarbits in Branxton, Northumberland, in September 2011. The watching brief was carried out to monitor groundworks that were related to a new development within the village as the second phase of works excavating and levelling the site, as well as the excavation of service trenches and a soak away, down to the natural drift geology of the area. No evidence of any any archaeological remains or artefacts of historic interest were found on the site.
