Abstract: |
A watching brief was carried out during works to locate and repair a suspected leaking water pipe. The site lies within the scheduled area of Tavistock Abbey and it was considered that associated fabric or deposits may be affected by the works. Two trenches were excavated. No medieval or dissolution deposits were exposed. An 18th century cobbled surface was revealed overlain by 19th century levelling material. |
