Abstract: |
A watching brief was maintained during the excavation of a borrow pit at the N end of an existing quarry which appears on the Ordnance Survey first edition mapping and which probably continued in use in the 20th century. The site is located on the S side of Ark Hill. Apart from soil and waste mounds no evidence for earlier quarrying was visible. |
