Abstract: |
A programme of historic building recording was undertaken in support of restoration works taking place at Valleyfield, Fife. These works focussed upon five structures which formed elements of a Repton-designed landscape laid out in the early 1800s. The structures comprised two rusticated bridges, a rustic arch, and two flights of stone steps located within a walled garden. The elevations of all five structures were fully recorded using a reflectorless EDM (Leica TCR 307), supported where necessary with hand-drawn elevations. A full photographic and written record of each elevation was also undertaken. |
