Abstract:		 An archaeological watching brief was undertaken on land adjacent to residential area on the western edge of Ramsey, on a route of a new proposed water main extending from the north of Biggin Lane to Canberra Close. Four launch/reception pits (L/RP) revealed evidence of a potential buried soil overlain by a deep layer of sub-soil. One posthole and one narrow linear were recorded in one L/RP ; there was no evidence of archaeological features in the remaining three.
