Abstract: |
An archaeological evaluation was conducted on land at Plot 6.5, Eureka Business Park, Ashford, Kent (NGR TR 00692 45438). 17 Trenches were machine excavated, each measuring 30m in length. Evidence for Late Iron Age to Early Roman ditches, pits and a substantial posthole were identified. This activity is thought to form a continuation of the field systems and occupation activity attested during previous phases of archaeological work at the site. In addition, a complete Early Bronze Age funerary vessel was identified in Trench 5. |
