Abstract: |
An archaeological watching brief was carried out in Autumn 2007 at The Fastrack Site within Ingress Abbey, Greenhithe. The aim of the watching brief was to assess the impact of the development on the archaeology of the area. Palaeolithic activity has previously been observed in the area. Natural chalk was observed throughout the site at a depth between 2.30m and 3.50m below surface level .The only archaeological feature observed was a well or soak away which is probably Victorian in date. |
