Abstract:		 Archaeological evaluation comprising 8 x 50m x 2m trenches in a proposed dairy field identified ridge and furrow and a former boundary associated with the medieval field systems for the former settlement of Knaptoft. A 5m x 2m trench in the farmyard exposed part of the Tudor manor, along with earlier remains, possibly part of an earlier medieval manor and/or the former village.
