Abstract The abstract describing the content of the publication or report Abstract:	Northamptonshire Archaeology was commissioned to carry out fieldwalking and detailed magnetometer surveys on 60ha of land located to the south-west of St Albans, Hertfordshire. The fieldwalking survey recovered a range of artefacts dating from the Palaeolithic to the present day but no distributions of archaeological significance were observed. The geophysical survey suggested the presence of possible undated ditches which had been disturbed by large areas of made ground. The made ground may relate to the construction of the M25 and M1 motorways.
