Abstract: |
A strip, plan and sample exercise, with attendant watching brief over services, was undertaken by ULAS in January and March 2010 at 4 Ladygate, Diseworth, Leicestershire in advance of redevelopment. No archaeological deposits were encountered during the strip. The watching brief over services indicated that the ground in the southern and part of the western sides of the development area had probably been made up prior to the construction of the 19th century buildings on the site. Roof trusses belonging to an earlier phase of building were noted. |
