Abstract: |
An historic building evaluation of the farmhouse was prepared in advance of a listed building consent application for proposed repairs and new extensions that would bring the building back into residential use. The farmhouse was rebuilt in 1817 as a small country residence, but retained at least some fabric from an earlier, probably 17th-century, building. The early 19th-century building included provision for servants, and in the mid-19th century was extended with the provision of an extra room on both the ground and first floors. |
