Abstract:
Report on evaluation trial trenching on site of former Rectory at Morborne, Cambridgeshire. Unpublished report detailing findings of evaluation. , but deposits associated with the former Rectory were recorded. Evaluation prior to development at the Rectory, Morborne revealed post medieval deposits of 18th century date and later. The site lay within the historic core of the village and surrounded by earthworks of the now largely deserted Medieval village, however no evidence for activity prior to the 17th century was identitified. Deposits associated with the landscaped gardens of the former Rectory were recorded including the remains of a wall and terrace.
