Abstract: |
A watching brief was carried out during the installation of five information boards. The discovery of potentially important historical surfaces within some of the trenches necessitated a change of methodology in the anchoring of some of the signs. In particular, the re-use of current sign bases, where practical, proved to be the most satisfactory solution, causing minimal impact on any archaeologically sensitive deposits. |
