Abstract The abstract describing the content of the publication or report Abstract:	An archaeological field evaluation by trial trenching was undertaken on land at Fernie Hunt Stables, Nether Green, Great Bowden, Leicestershire by the University of Leicester Archaeological Services (ULAS) between the 27th and 29th of July February 2011. The initial potential of the site was highlighted by an Archaeological Desk-Based Assessment (Hunt 2006) which indicated that the development area was located within an area close to the medieval village core. Two trenches contained archaeological remains which comprised organic clay.They contained pottery suggesting a possible late medieval to early post-medieval date. The site archive will be held by Leicestershire County Council under accession number X.A102.2011.
