Abstract: |
An archaeological building recording project was undertaken in advance of an application for planning permission, on a Grade II listed 18th century farmhouse at Scalegill Foot, Dentdale. The survey revealed that the farmhouse consisted of several different phases of construction, the earliest of which would appear to have been a two-unit house, with stone mullioned windows and drip moulds that would suggest a 17th or early 18th century date. |
