Abstract:		 North Pennines Archaeology Ltd were commissioned by Graham K Norman on the 19th December 2005 to carry out a level 2 building survey on a barn at Langton Farm, Langton, Appleby in Westmoreland. This work was carried out in January 2006 by Fiona Wooler. The buildings subject to this survey were certainly in existence by the first edition Ordnance survey map of 1865, possibly dating to the late eighteenth- early nineteenth century and show evidence of extensive remodelling in the late 19th century.
