Abstract The abstract describing the content of the publication or report Abstract:	An archaeological watching brief was undertaken during groundworks associated with the construction of a new dwelling. No archaeological features or deposits were encountered. The soil profile consisted of a typical agricultural sequence. The small finds assemblage recovered from the topsoil is of 18th-century date; no earlier finds were present.
