Abstract: |
Archaeology South-East was commissioned by the National Trust to undertake an archaeological watching brief along a new service trench at Knole Estate, Sevenoaks, Kent (TQ 539 542), between 19th and 20th November 2013. The works consisted of the excavation of a narrow service trench and a area excavation in the entrance to the barn. There where two small areas of surviving archaeology. One area is unclear to what it could be the other is an area of reworking to the barn entrance. Much of the service trench had been excavated before for several older services. |
