Abstract:		 A single sample from Syon Reach (site FHL06) proved unsuitable for analysis but two of the timbers from Old Palace Lane (site FRM11) were dated to give a tree-ring chronology for the period AD 1358-1584. The timbers, probably from the same tree, were felled in the winter/early spring of AD 1584/5 and may be the remnants of Crane Wharf, the Tudor quay which served Richmond Palace.
