Abstract: |
An archaeological evaluation was undertaken during the extension of the Olympic Rings Business Park, Dundonald, Ayrshire. The area was subject to an 8% sample evaluation comprising 610 linear metres. The works revealed that the eastern half of the site had undergone severe recent truncation to a depth of approximately three metres. Demolition material had then been introduced into the area. The truncation had also adversely affected the drainage of the area with a sizeable bog forming to its immediate west. Neither significant archaeological features nor artefacts were encountered. |
