Abstract: |
Monitoring of topsoil stripping on the site of a proposed temporary site compound adjacent to the existing Goxhill pumping station was undertaken by Network Archaeology from 28th February to 4th March 2011. The results of the watching brief show that the depth of topsoil stripping was insufficient to impact upon any archaeological remains that may lie in the alluvial clay below. No finds were recovered and there is little evidence from the topsoil to suggest that significant archaeological remains exist within the study area. |
