Abstract: |
A detailed gradiometry survey was conducted over approximately 3.6 hectares of pasture at Chippenham, Wiltshire. A collection of anomalies represent cut features of archaeological origin, probably linked to an enclosure feature. Further weaker anomalies across the site are of possible archaeological origin and ridge and furrow has been identified in the eastern field. The remaining features are all modern in origin, and include a buried service, magnetic disturbance associated with nearby metallic objects, and scattered ferrous debris. |
