Abstract: |
detailed gradiometry survey was conducted over approximately 2 hectares of agricultural land. In the centre of the site, a curvi-linear anomaly relates to a historic former field boundary visible on mapping dating from 1908. An isolated linear feature is present at the eastern extent of the survey area. No other features of archaeological interest have been located. Other anomalies observed are likely modern or natural in origin including utilities, geology, magnetic disturbance (relating to agricultural feeding troughs), areas of unknown weak magnetic variation and magnetic spikes in the topsoil. |
