Abstract: |
An archaeological watching brief at United House, Piccadilly, York, North Yorkshire, took place as part of a programme to evaluate the presence of any archaeological features that may be disturbed by any groundwork related with the new redevelopment. The main work consisted of the excavation of a trench that housed the new substation, and associated cabling trenches. The only archaeological features recorded within the trench; consisted of the foundations of a 19th century brick wall that cut through a dark grey medieval deposit (occupational /alluvial). |
