Abstract:		 A program of archaeological investigation and recording at two sites in the Yearsley Moor Wood, North Yorkshire was undertaken under the umbrella of the North York Moors National Park's 'Lime and Ice' initiative. A group of volunteers whose intent has been to trace the remaining evidence of past human activity in the area, has identified two features of particular interest, a prominent linear feature (ditch and bank) interpreted as the park pale, which extends for about 300m, and the remains of a stone built structure believed to be associated with a water mill.
