Abstract: |
A detailed gradiometry survey was conducted over approximately 6.7 hectares of grassland. No features of probable archaeological origin have been identified. A small number of linear anomalies may be of archaeological or relate to agricultural activity, while three possible former pits may be archaeological or natural in origin. Evidence of modern ploughing and former field boundaries suggest that the site has a largely agricultural past. The remaining features are natural or modern and include areas of natural variation, a land drain, scattered magnetic debris, magnetic disturbance from nearby ferrous objects and magnetic spikes that are likely to be modern rubbish. |
