Abstract: |
A detailed gradiometry survey was conducted over approximately 18 hectares of agricultural land. A number of features of archaeological interest have been identified throughout the survey area, including a possible ring ditch, enclosures, pitting and extensive ridge-and-furrow. Possible trackways linked to features on historic mapping have also been identified. Other anomalies identified are likely modern or natural in origin including ploughing, ferrous objects and scattered debris in the topsoil, magnetic disturbance relating to field boundaries and fences. Large areas of geological variation are also present. |
