Abstract: |
A detailed gradiometry survey was conducted over approximately 2.5 hectares of pasture farmland at Waltham on the Wolds, Leicestershire. Two linear anomalies are of possible archaeological origin and a number of point anomalies could be indicative of backfilled pits. Ridge and furrow, and several linears of unclear origin are present which could represent archaeology, former field boundaries, services or land drains. The remaining anomalies are modern in origin and include a land drain, magnetic disturbance and scattered ferrous debris. |
