Abstract: |
Desk-based assessment, supplemented by preliminary fieldwalking, identified two cropmark sites situated within the development area, of which one had been identified as a square enclosure. An Anglo-Saxon cemetery was also recorded to the north of the proposed development site. Fieldwalking recovered pottery of mainly post-medieval date, but also included fragments of Romano-British and Anglo-Saxon date. [AIP] |
