Abstract:		 The watching brief was undertaken on thirty-tree bays. Archaeological deposits were found to survive in three of the bays consisting of traces of peaty clay representing the remains of the Moorfields marshlands which covered the site until the late 16th century, and a possible medieval or post-medieval rubbish pit. All other potentially archaeological deposits had been truncated by modern features in the other bays. [Au(abr)]
