Abstract:
<summary>Desk-based assessment of an area of 48 hectares adjacent to Junction 12 of the M5 established that the archaeological potential of the site derived from extensive evidence for prehistoric and Romano-British occupation within the Severn Vale. A scatter of Romano-British pottery and a crop mark complex comprising enclosures and a trackway had previously been recorded within the proposed development area, and a Roman burial had also been found on the northern periphery of the site. Remains of medieval ridge and furrow were identified during the course of the assessment. {italon}AIP{italoff} {italon}SMR Primary Record Numbers:{italoff} GLOS4421, 4422, 7072
