The watching brief recorded structural foundations and settlement features of the later-Roman period and large quantities of Romano-British pottery and building materials. Substantial amounts of Late Iron Age pottery were also collected which was assumed to be linked to an oppidum situated some 100 metres to the south-east of the watching brief area.
