Abstract: |
Two trenches were excavated and revealed a series of linear features and a single pit. Roman pottery of 1st-2nd century AD date was recovered, and was thought to relate to rural domestic settlement, possibly associated with the settling or retired legionary soldiers in territory formerly occupied by the local Iron Age Corieltauvi tribe.
