Abstract: |
A watching brief was maintained during the installation of a metered bypass and mains extension at Blyth Road in an area approximatley 200m to the west of Roman villa (SAM 83). A Romano-British ditch cutting through earlier stratified deposits was identified. A small unabraded sherd of Romano-British grey ware (1st to 4th century AD) and a fragment of Roman flue tile were recovered from the ditch. [Au(abr)] |
