Abstract:		 A second stage of evaluation along the proposed route comprised further desk-based appraisal together with geophysical survey and sample excavation. The geophysical survey identified a number of anomalies. Excavation conducted on these anomalies produced no features of clear archaeological interest. The main feature at risk from the proposed construction was a boundary bank and ditch of medieval Shotwick Park. [Au(abr)]
