Abstract: |
A Level 1 standing building survey was carried out on 19 September 2016. Plans and elevations were drawn and a full photographic survey carried out. At least four phases of construction were recorded. The building was probably constructed originally in the late 18th or early 19th century and was originally a mill located on the Dean Water, a tributary from Forfar Loch. The Phase 1 farmhouse was converted for general farm use after the new farmhouse was constructed before 1900. The mill building was also converted after the horsemill was demolished after 1922. |
