Abstract:		 A total of six test pits which measured on average 1m x 1m, with a maximum depth of 1.3m, were excavated within the premises at 64-66 Bridge Street/57 West Street, Berwick-upon-Tweed. A number of walls were identified. The aims of the project were to determine the presence/absence, extent, condition, date, character and quality of any archaeological remains liable to be threatened by the proposed development.
