Abstract: |
Gradiometer and ground penetrating radar (GPR) surveys were conducted at Boddington to locate any tunnels coming from St. Mary Magdalene's Church, as well as any other anomalies of archaeological origin. The surveys have identified three possible tunnels, one of which may be brick lined. Former field boundaries and an area of ridge and furrow are the only probable archaeology seen on the site, with one anomaly of possible archaeological origin. The remaining anomalies are natural or modern in origin, relating to underground services, scattered magnetic debris, ferrous objects and fencing. |
