Abstract: |
An archaeological watching brief was maintained on the groundworks for a new general purpose agricultural building. This comprised the monitoring of an initial phase of ground reduction, the excavation of a service trench along with the excavation of sixteen stanchion bases. No archaeological activity was identified on this site and there were no finds. The findings comprised a simple deposit sequence which consisted of a topsoil horizon overlying a natural horizon of sands. |
