Abstract: |
Two evaluation trenches were excavated in advance of residential development. Prehistoric flint has been found and Roman ditches and medieval quarry pits have been recorded during earlier excavations on neighbouring sites. Romano-British ditches and pits, dating to the late 1st or early 2nd century AD were recorded during the evaluation at the current site, but no evidence for earlier activity was recorded. Features of medieval, post-medieval and industrial/modern date were also recorded. |
