Abstract: |
In October 2007 Oxford Archaeology was commissioned by Atkins Heritage to carry out a Watching Brief along the route of a proposed pipeline at [location]Bosham Hoe, West Sussex. The Watching Brief comprised the monitoring of seven geotechnical boreholes. The sedimentary sequence revealed within the boreholes comprised relatively thin minerogenic deposits of silty loam, sandy silts and gravels of probable Pleistocene age directly overlying Tertiary bedrock. Apart from modern disturbance, no direct evidence for anthropogenic activity was identified within the sediments. |
