Abstract:		 Archaeological monitoring and recording was carried out during the excavation of foundation trenches for the construction of nine new houses, associated garages, parking and access on land at the Butchers' Arms, Main Street, Laneham, Nottinghamshire. Monitoring revealed a sequence of structural elements and deposits associated with the Butchers' Arms public house, with no significant archaeological remains being present.
