Abstract: |
A total of 170 metres spread over a series of nine trenches were excavated on land to the south of Abbotts Ann, Andover, on the site of a proposed location for a primary school. The work was undertaken on the 23rd and 24th of June 2008. Plough scarring was present on the natural chalk bedrock resulting from modern deep ploughing it is likely this would have destroyed any archaeological features in the subsoil. There is low potential for any archaeological features being affected by the proposed development. No archaeological finds, deposits or features were identified. |
