Abstract: |
Usha Top is a Grade II listed farmhouse dated 1662. Listed Building Consent Reference R/03/42C/LB was granted on 24 June 2013 by the Yorkshire Dales National Park Authority (YDNPA) for renovation and alteration works to the property. These works included the installation of under floor heating which required the excavation of the ground floor of the building. The Consent was granted subject to conditions which included provision for an Archaeological Watching Brief. Swaledale and Arkengarthdale Archaeological Group (SWAAG) was commissioned by the owners to undertake the Watching Brief the scope of which was defined in a written Scheme of Investigation approved by YDNPA |
